Rebranding the Camp Experience

The idea: Camp Moda, a creative youth summer camp by the Museum of Design Atlanta, sought a refreshed identity that could resonate with campers ages 6 to 18. It needed to feel playful yet not overly juvenile, inclusive across genders, and reflective of creativity in both art and STEM. With a mascot concept already in place, the opportunity became evolving it into something more defined—creating a cohesive, recognizable foundation for the brand.

The Evolution: The solution introduces Mica, a playful scribble-inspired character that represents the brainstorming and creative flow of a young mind. The rebrand balances expressive, energetic visuals with a more refined color palette, allowing it to grow with its audience. Flexible color use helps distinguish age groups, roles, and activities, while the overall system creates a cohesive, engaging identity that feels imaginative, inclusive, and unmistakably Camp Moda.
