Music of Our Days Magazine
The idea: Educational music content can easily become dry when it shifts into the technical side of production. For a youth-focused magazine like Music of Our Days, also known as M.O.O.D., the hurdle was presenting a deep dive into the industry, including critical analysis of a major music producer like Metro Boomin, without it feeling like a textbook.
The Evolution: I used an expressive, high-energy layout to mirror the intensity of the music being discussed. The feature on Metro Boomin highlights his transition from an Atlanta local to a global figure through bold spreads that prioritize visual momentum. By pairing honest critiques with a loud, experimental aesthetic, the design keeps the reader engaged with the technical substance of this "Music Production Issue" of M.O.O.D. from start to finish.
